Hi, I'm Ms. Melancon--
This is my fifth year at North Springs High School, where I have taught AP Literature, Journalism,
Junior Literature (Regular and Honors), and TAG. Previously, I was at Norcross High School for seven years, where I
taught Junior CP, Junior Honors, Pre- IB, Senior Honors, Journalism, and AP Literature.
I have a B.S. degree from Georgia State University in Commercial Music and an M.A. from GSU in Communication/Theatre.
I was National Board Certified in 2005 and I'm also certified to teach Gifted, AP Lit, AP Language, and IB English.
I live in East Atlanta and spent the years before I was in education in the music industry where I worked in marketing
for a record company, band management, music recording, and radio. I love finding ways to incorporate music into my
classroom.
