Ms. Melancon's Class Pages

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the best way to reach you?
By email.  During the school day, that is melancon@fultonschools.org.  On weekends, it is msmelancon@yahoo.com.

How can I set up a meeting in person?
Email me and we'll work out a time.  Generally, I can meet before school anytime from 8:00am until 8:30am, or after school as long as I have no prior committments.

How can I find out how my student is doing in your class?
I post the grades for the students (unless they have not changed) every week on Fridays.  You can also check on Home Access Center online--you'll need to get a password from our front office  You can always call and leave a message for me at school (770-551-2490).

How can I find out what my student is doing in your class or when assignments are due?
Check out the calendar for that class--they are posted here every three weeks and usually includes what the student needs to read or turn in for a particular day.  Also, if you go to the handouts page, you can download copies of the assignments which include the particulars of that assignment and any due dates.

How can I help my student do better in your class?
It really depends on the individual student, but honestly, the best way to help is to stay involved.  Find out what they are working on/learning.  Of course, you can always contact me directly to discuss specifics.  I've included a list of helpful websites on this page that may also help.

What are your policies regarding late work, extra credit, and plagiarism?
These are departmental policies and can be found in the syllabus for each class (you receive a hard copy to sign the first week of school, and you can find copies of them on my handouts page).
